Coachella Wear - Part 1

Festivals are a great time to make some brash statements in style. I can't imagine incorporating a bandana or a ridiculously unbuttoned collared shirt into my everyday wardrobe, but it sure is fun as hell to wear given the opportunity!

Canadian Tuxedo - Part 2 of 4

In Part 1 last week, I said that I thought the Canadian tuxedo is making its way back into style, and I showed how a blue monochromatic look with boots could work without looking too loud. In this post (and Part 4), I'm wearing a pair of lighter, more faded jeans with a white tee (as I think the faded denim and white pair better with the jean jacket), white shoes, and a salt & pepper-colored hoodie.

Black Pants - Part 3 of 4

The all black look provides a streamlined and slim silhouette. Pairing it with a grey or salt/pepper jacket makes the outfit jump out a bit. I love monochromatic looks and the black shirt/pant combo keeps things a bit understated which gives you a bit more leeway for the brash hi-tops.

Black Pants - Part 2 of 4

This is another combination of blacks and whites but using brown boots to provide a bit more color and expression. This is my usual getup for concerts - good for the warm setting with all the people and dancing and super comfortable!

Black Pants - Part 1 of 4

This is the first of what I hope to be many Style posts on this blog. It'll be a work in progress, but for now the section will be my personal wear, primarily casual and business casual, and occasionally, formal wear. We'll see where it goes, but thanks for checking it out!

The first series is, as you may have noticed, on black pants. The color black comes with a cachet of attitude and rebelliousness. I was always a bit resistant to wear black as I didn't think I could pull it off, but these more casual looks are pretty simple if you have a couple t-shirts and a black or grey jacket and a few different colored shoes.

I'll be posting each new part the next few Mondays.
